CREATIVE EXPRESSION THROUGH MOVEMENT AND DANCE
I use different techniques and styles of contemporary dance as starting point. The work methods are based on the basic elements of contemporary dance, such as floor work, different body work techniques, development and improvement of technical capabilities, flexibility, performance precision, and improvisation.
The aim is to encourage participants, i.e. dancers, to build awareness and trust, as well as foster more direct communication with their own body, through the application of simple short forms, exercises in space, etudes.
By jointly creating, examining and elaborating the very notion of movement, and in the later stage, the idea of the whole process, the interested young people are able to get better acquainted with dance art as one of the most widespread means of communication today.
TEACHER: ZRINKA LUKČEC KIKO
Zrinka Lukčec Kiko is an independent dance artist. She was a long-time member of the Zagreb Dance Company where she collaborated with many local and foreign pedagogues and choreographers: Juan Carlos Garcia, Ksenija Zec, Bebeto Cidra, Katja Šimunić, Silvia Both, Liz King, Snježana Abramović Milković , Kilina Cremona, Irma Omerzo, Martin Sonderkamp, Emilio Gutierrez, Alexis Eupierre, Francesco Scavetta, Natalija Manojlović, Bo Madvig, Ted Stopfer, Laura Aris Alvarez, Renata Carola Gatica, Aleksej Taran.
Winner of the Croatian Actor Award for Best Artistic Achievement in performances Nešto, možda, sasvim osobno (Snježana Abramović Milković), The Same (Ksenija Zec).
In 2005, she founded the Association for Movement, Contemporary Dance and Audiovisual Communication – Plešimedo, within which she realises independent projects (Thin Line, Window Cleaners, Giga Barićeva, Ofelia, Sola).
