NEVER ALLONE
Never Allone is a choreographic journey within which the author treats dance as her personal time machine, allowing her to reflect on and reshape her past, as well as future – the spaces she visits the most. Spaces in which she lingers the longest.
This time, the journey continues in a technological environment, in which the other body is materialised through a heavy and solid metal frame with a transparent interior, thus opening up a space of shared vulnerability.
The fragility of the human body and its inevitable transience are in a dialogic relationship with the constraints of the inorganic. Is there a way to broach questions within this relationship, such as – What will remain after I’m gone? What remains after dance? And what precedes us?
And what sort of joint future can we even envision?
A dissolution of the dichotomy between the worlds we visit, into real and imaginary, possible and impossible, yours and theirs, and instead their overlapping, their infiltrations and mutual encroachments, is what builds the hybrid environment of this performance journey.
