PAN-ADRIA network / Open Call 2024/2025 RESULTS

Pan-Adria thanks all contemporary dance productions who submitted concepts and projects with the aim of “taking up the region to take on the field” in 2024/2025. The field called, and the region answered!

A jury of seven, respective of a network of seven contemporary dance partner institutions, deliberated on submitted concepts and projects, conducted interviews with shortlisted individuals and/or collectives, and deliberated some more on the Pan-Adria 2024/2025 fellow.

Here are the results!

Meeting the criteria of a novel, transformative, radical, emancipatory and/or sustainable concept and project, the jury of seven has decided to select the following contemporary dance production as the Pan-Adria 2024/2025 fellow: STUDIO za suvremeni ples / STUDIO Contemporary Dance Company, Zagreb, Croatia, with choreography by Ginevra Panzetti and Enrico Ticconi.

Ginevra Panzetti and Enrico Ticconi are known for their unique approach to artistic research and performance, and innovative contemporary aesthetics. By deepening themes of historical connectivity of communication, violence, and power, they draw themes from ancient imaginaries, creating hybrid figures and images at the crossroads of history and contemporaneity. The collaboration with STUDIO is inspired by military marches from various parts of the world. Examining different styles, rhythmic patterns, and variations of movements of military marches, the production explores the rhythmic potential of steps and the choreographic potential of unison movement and synchronicity.

Pan-Adria welcomes the Pan-Adria 2024/2025 fellow, and looks forward to the premiere!

Nevertheless, the jury recognized a high value of some of applied projects and will offer the opportunity in a form of a residency programme / partner consultations before the premiere of the following:
