International performances at ZPC!
Zagreb Dance Center, in cooperation with the Austrian Cultural Forum, hosts the SEAD BODHI PROJECT, a postgraduate company of the Salzburg Dance Experimental Academy.
Bodhi Project will perform two short shows in one evening: BODHI, choreographed by Male Kline and UBUNTU in the choreography of Sita Ostheimer.
BODHI PROJECT has built a reputation for embracing a range of different styles of contemporary dance, performed by outstanding young dancers at a key stage of their artistic development. The company has been internationally presented in more than 100 performances in venues ranging from festivals and theatres.
MILAN TOMAŠIK will perform his solo work untitled SOLO 2016.
Milan studied dance at the Conservatory J. L. Bellu in Banská Bystrica and at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. In 2004, he graduated from P.A.R.T.S, the international dance school in Brussels directed by Anna Teresa de Keersmaeker.
In 2014 he founded Milan Tomášik & Co and created two dance performances Hunting Season (2014), which received awards for the best lighting design at Kiosk and Gibanica festivals, and a piece for four dancers called Silver Blue (2015).
After the solo performances Within (2006) and Off-Beat (2011), in Solo 2016 Milan rounds off his trilogy of solo performances created in the last decade.
MAGDALENA REITER will be teaching one week of intensive training for professionals from May 2 to May 5.
