HOUSE, OLD WAY, NEW WAY & URBAN CONTEMPORARY classes / workshops

TEACHER: MATEJA MIKOVIĆ

Mateja Miković, born on 21 August  1990, in Velika Gorica. She has been working with urban dance styles since 2007. She devotes herself mostly to Hip Hop, House, Waacking and Vouge. She works as choreographer and participates in productions of the Dance Studio Nina, Edita Cebalo Dance Studio, Pinokio Dance Club, Tala Dance Center and Funkadelik. Se also participates as a dancer and choreographer at Streetforma, a Hip Hop theatre festival, various urban dance competitions such as Treps, Kings of Style, Croatian Show Dance Association, etc. In addition to working independently and collaborating with others, she also attends various workshops on urban dance styles and contemporary techniques. She has participated in the shows WooMan, La femme, Writing Poems, #notreal, Recurrent Measures, as well as shows Step into My World, The Road, Paxos, and D-Construction, which are based on the vocabulary of urban dances. She studies fashion and costume design at Profokus College. She created the costume design for the musical Cinderella as well as for most of her choreographies.
